Abigail Penne, formerly Abigail Tobias, is a single Italian-American science teacher at Calico Aster Middle School, where she has taught for 12 years.

Originally from Monteverde, Florida, Abigail earned a scholarship to Pawnee University in Pawnee Springs, North Carolina, the city above Fort Calloway, where she majored in environmental science and biology. She later worked for Qellhoot Corporation in Sweggy Hills before the company moved to Moolah City, and RiCa Industries took its place.

While married to Cordell Tobias, a Staff Sergeant in Kurt Halliburton and Alonzo Reed’s unit, Abigail met Zara Halliburton at a family readiness group (FRG) meeting, and the two became friends. At one meeting, Abigail revealed her abusive relationship with Cordell after Zara noticed a bruise on her shoulder.

To escape the abuse, Zara helped Abigail through her contested divorce and used her military connections to ensure that Tobias never bothered her again. Since then, Abigail has developed an unwavering loyalty to Zara, feeling compelled to protect her at all costs, including encouraging her mayoral campaign and offering to serve as her campaign manager.
